Three Waupaca County members attended the National Convention at Spokane Washington in August 2010.  They were Lucille Dobbe, Roger Dobbe and our State Secretary-Treasurer, Lois Graper.

Waupaca County is proud to announce the winner of the award for “Letter Carrier of the Year” -- Roger Dobbe. Roger is a carrier from the Scandinavia Post Office with 33 years of Federal Service including three years in the Army. His 30-year postal service began in Waupaca in April 1973. After 23 years at that office as a clerk/carrier and rural carrier, he was able to transfer to Scandinavia. He has been there for the past seven years. Roger has given many years of excellent service to his customers and has been involved in the union as a union steward and an instructor for the Rural Carrier Training Academe. Roger has his name engraved on the state plaque and will keep it for a year. He will also attend the National Convention in Chicago and be honored there with the other carriers of the year. The last time Waupaca County received this award was in 1990 given to Kenneth G. Suehring.
